Science Team

Experts in operational oceanography

The OceanPredict Science Team (OPST) with its 32 members is responsible for the implementation and execution of OceanPredict activities. It is a forum of scientists and leaders in the field of operational oceanography from national, international or intergovernmental organisations. Groups and people represented in the science team are from national operational ocean forecasting centres, space agencies, ocean research institutes and universities. Together they provide an extensive knowledge in the field of operational oceanography and ocean prediction. User groups or other partner institutions can be invited by the team on an ad hoc basis.

The OPST holds annual (semi-annual) science team meetings.
