Andreas Schiller

Former Science and Deputy Director, CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere - AUSTRALIA

Dr Schiller co-led the development of the Australian Bluelink ocean forecasting system (a partnership of CSIRO, Bureau of Meteorology and Department of Defence). Bluelink delivers world-class ocean and atmosphere forecasting capability and tools to the Australian Defence Forces and the Australian public. Dr Schiller has been a member of the international ocean forecasting research community for more than 20 years; from 2008 to 2017 he co-chaired the GODAE OceanView Science Team (GOVST) [predecessor or OPST]. In 2019, he chaired the Scientific Program Committee of OceanPredict’19 in Halifax, Canada.
