Fabrice Hernandez is leading the Intercomparison and Validation Task Team (IV-TT) together with Greg Smith, ECCC, Canada.
Interest in Ocean Predict:
- Verification, evaluation approaches for ocean estimates/forecasts from 1) model and 2) products derived from observations.
- Developing, under operational constraints, scientific relevant methods for these evaluations
- Multi-system intercomparison for understanding ocean dynamics: ensemble approaches and forecasts
- Understanding user request in term of ocean product and their reliability
- Enhancing our understanding of tropical oceans, their role on the Earth system.
