Yosuke Fujii – OS-Eval TT

Physical oceanographer at MRI/JMA - JAPAN

Yosuke Fujii is a physical oceanographer at JMA/MRI. He has been engaged in the development of MOVE, the operational ocean data assimilation system suite based on a variational method, at JMA. His research activity mainly focuses on ocean and coupled ocean-atmosphere data assimilation methodology, ocean observing system evaluation, and sensitivity study using adjoint techniques. He also studies ENSO and other ocean and climate variabilities in the tropical Pacific. He is a member of the OceanPredict Steering Team, and currently co-chairing the Observing-System Evaluation Task Team (OS-Eval TT) with Elisabeth Remy, MOI, France.
