Santha Akella – CP-TT

Physical Scientist at NOAA EMC

Santha Akella works at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s National Weather Service (NWS) – Environmental Modeling Center (EMC) as a physical scientist. His current work and interests range from ocean modeling and data assimilation to coupled modeling, initialization and predictions. Before joining the EMC, he worked at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center- Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) as a research oceanographer until Jul 2024. Santha is co-chair of the CP-TT together with Chris Harris and Kristian Mogensen.
