Marjorie A.M. Friedrichs – MEAP-TT (outgoing)

Research Professor at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science

Marjy has extensive experience in biogeochemical and ecological modeling and data assimilation. In recent years, her main focus has been on forecasting and projections in coastal/estuarine waters (specifically the Chesapeake Bay). One particularly relevant and important emphasis in her activities is working with stakeholders to make these forecasts as useful as possible.

Marjy is leading the OceanPredict Marine Ecosystem Analysis and Predictions Task Team (MEAP-TT) together with Stefano Ciavatta from PML, UK.
