Marcin Chrust – DA-TT

Senior scientist in the Earth System Assimilation Section at ECMWF - UK/Europe

Marcin Chrust is a senior scientist in the Earth System Assimilation Section at ECMWF, where he is a member of the Data Assimilation Methodology Team, focusing on algorithmic aspects of the ocean ensemble variational data assimilation system NEMOVAR. He contributes to collaborations with key NEMOVAR developers at CERFACS, INRIA, and the UK Met Office.

He leads the development of the operational Object Oriented Prediction System (OOPS) and works on machine learning methods for model error correction. His expertise includes data assimilation methodology, numerical methods, and high-performance computing.
