Frank Colberg is a Senior Research Scientist with a PhD in Physical Oceanography. He is leading the Ocean Modelling Team at the Bureau of Meteorology, Australia. The team is responsible for advancing the science and development of the ocean, wave and sea-ice components of the Bureau’s Earth System models across all spatial and temporal scales. Frank has a physical modelling background and his area of expertise spans regional to global ocean modelling within short term forecasting timescales. New methods on advancement in ocean modelling and data assimilation using AI models are of increasing interest.
