OP ’24 Symposium – 18 – 22 Nov 2024, IOC/UNESCO, Paris

OceanPredict has partnered with IOC-UNESCO to organize the OceanPredict Symposium 2024 (OP’24) “Advancing Ocean Prediction science for societal benefits” that is specifically designed to strengthen the cooperation and partnerships between diverse communities to address sustainable development, blue economy, and societal awareness. In that way, this event will include sessions centered around ocean predictions with a focus on global, basin-scale, coastal, regional, polar ocean and sea ice predictions, new developments in ocean predictions (measurements / observations, modeling, data assimilation, machine learning / AI, digital twins, etc.), ocean prediction systems and services, and user applications and societal benefits.

OP’24 invites ocean scientists, sea-ice experts, and oceanic biosphere researchers, observation specialists, industry representatives, service providers and users of ocean data & products from across the international operational oceanography community to engage in science sessions, exhibitions and discussions to explore and define the direction of ocean prediction. Especially welcome are service providers and representatives from the end-user community, to exhibit their work and products, and to engage with the science community. Also very much encouraged to attend are early career scientists, students and representatives from emerging economies.

The Call for abstracts is now OPEN – please visit the OP ’24 symposium website (click on image below) for more information.
